Mariposa means "butterfly", it is also could be translated as a Butterfly Valley. It located at the southern end of Yosemite National Park. There is the largest tree specie in the world, giant sequoia. It can grow for thousands years and  known as the "World Lord Tree". The main purposes of Yosemite National Park was to protect this large forest of giant sequoias. Mariposa paid special attention to its beauty to reopen the natural magic to its customer.

马里波萨谷巨杉林（Mariposa  Grove），因Mariposa有“蝴蝶”的意思，所以又被译成蝴蝶谷，这里有世界上最大的树种——巨杉，有“世界爷树”之称。优胜美地国家公园最初的目的之一就是为了保护巨杉林。蝴蝶杉融合这种粗犷原始的美，将自然的鬼斧神工重新铺开于眼前。
